CRUISE 4

  CRUISE NUMBER 4                                    19 DAY CRUISE FROM LISBON TO MIAMI   02 April 2023--- LISBON PORTUGAL   Had a great night’s sleep and must admit the rocking and rolling did help. Arrived in Lisbon early this morning was still dark outside and left the ship after breakfast. Had to say goodbye to our one nurse she is from South Africa and on her way home after her contract. One bonus is when people go home, they leave all the stuff they can’t get into their suitcases and the ones left behind are the lucky ones to get this stash/stuff. Our present included coffee, noodles, dried mangoes, and rooibos tea. Amazing how many people you meet as the years go by would be great to have some of them come to visit you when they decide to come to our country one day. I was not really in...

CRUISE 3

  CRUISE 3 --- 19 APRIL 2023 ---LISBON PORTUGAL   Last night we were really all over the place and rocking and rolling even the old nurse that has been working at sea for 15 years was feeling a bit green and had to go and lie down! So that gives you an idea of how ruff the sea was. I did not feel sick but was uneasy and did not have a good night’s sleep to make it worse hubby was called out a few times during the night, so it was not a peaceful night at all. We arrived in Lisbon early morning before sunrise, I was up early for had to go and sort out my next cruise dates, they had me in a bit of a tizz for told me last night they see I am getting off the ship on the 2 April and my date is the 21 April in Miami so thank goodness for my printed forms I had in my folder that I could go and get and show them that I do have confirmation until I get to Miami. Hubby was on duty, and I got off early and had the day to walk around in this amazing city so left at about 9 o clock ...

  CRUISE 2: 9 MARCH 2023---10 DAY CRUISE FROM LISBON   LISBON (PORTUGAL) @SEA FUNCHAL (MADEIRA) SANTA CRUZ DE TENERIFE (CANARY ISLANDS) LAS PALMAS GRAND (CANARIA ISLANDS) @SEA GIBRRALTAR (UK) MALAGA (SPAIN) CADIZ (SPAIN) LISBON (PORTUGAL)   9 MARCH 2023--- LISBON (PORTUGAL) Last night was another busy night. We went to bed late and then hubby was called out in the early morning hours only to return just before dawn. I waited for him before we got off to walk around. Our first stop was sitting on one of these benches all along the walkway with views over the ocean, but they are in demand for as soon as you get up the next person sits, to also enjoy lying on these curved wooden couches enjoying the sun. Our next stop was at the sardine shop where we got ourselves 7 different kinds of Portugese sardines and a tin of octopus in olive oil will have to try them and give a verdict at a later stage.
